Your First Dance Wedding Song

As a reputable Nigerian wedding DJ I often get asked for on advice on choosing a suitable song or songs for a couples 1st wedding dance. What usually sounds like an easy enough task, is actually not when you come to think of it, everyone couple has their tastes in music, be it melody, lyrics or even both. What I try to do when asked is to give my advice based on my very own short list of songs from general and widely accepted list liked most.

It is fair to say that I actually like a wide range of music, and also have a vast collection to choose from so I decided to draw up this shortlist based on the weddings I have done for couples in both Lagos, and London with much success. These 23 songs would be the batch of songs I would be giving to my clients. Hopefully giving them the inspiration to being planning that very important dance routine on the big day.

Once the song or songs have been chosen I often do a mix if required to allow the couple practice their routine in advance of the big day. This allows couples get comfortable with the songs, and the dance itself ensuring that part of the reception runs smoothly and is as much fun as it should be.
